What happened
The Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination and the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Thursday, 7 May 2026, to strengthen the digital system of the Prime Minister’s Hepatitis C Elimination Program, the state-run Associated Press of Pakistan reported.

What the system will do
Addressing the ceremony, Mustafa Kamal said NADRA would work with the Ministry of Health to develop an integrated digital data management system for the programme to improve monitoring and service delivery.
He said the system would provide patient registration, verification and tracking, as well as real-time data sharing, to support transparent and effective implementation of the initiative. The minister described the Prime Minister’s Hepatitis C Elimination Program as a major national initiative aimed at addressing the growing burden of Hepatitis C in the country.
