What happened
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said on Tuesday that Pakistani security forces had killed 464 combatants of the Afghan Taliban regime, destroyed 188 of their posts and captured 31 others during Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported.
In a situation report issued for 16:00 hours on 3 March 2026, Tarar said more than 665 Afghan operatives had been injured during the operation, also called “Righteous Fury”. He added that about 192 tanks, armoured vehicles and artillery pieces had been destroyed, and that 56 locations across Afghanistan had been effectively targeted by air.
The minister said the operation had been launched following “unprovoked action” from across the border.

The update was an increase on the toll the government had reported earlier in the campaign, when it said 415 Afghan Taliban personnel had been killed by 1 March, as KhabarWire reported. The information minister’s statement provided one of the most detailed official accountings of losses claimed since the cross-border campaign began.
