What happened
The Federal Investigation Agency, working with the Human Organ Transplant Authority, has arrested seven people over an alleged network that collected, processed and commercially exported human placenta from Islamabad, Pakistan Observer reported on 25 June 2026.

Second raid and continuing investigation
During questioning, suspect Wang Bao disclosed another location in Sector E-11 that was allegedly linked to the same network, the report said. A second raid there recovered multiple refrigerators and storage containers said to hold a substantial quantity of human organs and tissues. Two Pakistani workers, Ajmad Iqbal and Muhammad Nasir, were also taken into custody.
Investigators said the Pakistani suspects acted as drivers and facilitators for the group. All seven suspects were shifted to an undisclosed location for further questioning, and authorities said the investigation was continuing to establish the full scope of the alleged trafficking network and to trace the origins and intended destinations of the recovered tissue.
